Gayathiri is a Tamil poet. Their work explores how language shapes childhood and how we might use it to queer the future. Gayathiri won the Disabled Poets Prize 2024 and the Faber Andlyn Prize 2022. They’ve performed with the Roundhouse, UK Black Pride and Daytimers. Their debut novel-in-verse is forthcoming with Faber. gayathiri.co.uk.
