Basma Ghalayini’s previous translations have been published by Deep Vellum Press and Comma Press. She has also worked as a freelance translator and interpreter (Arabic to English). She was born in Khan Younis, and spent her early childhood in the UK until the age of five, before returning to the Gaza Strip. Most recently Basma edited the short story anthology Palestine+100, published by Comma Press in 2019.
