Edwige Renée Dro

Edwige Dro is a writer, literary translator, and literary curator from Côte d’Ivoire, who works at the intersections of literature, feminist literary productions and art. 

She has been jury member of prizes like the Caine Prize for African Writing, the PEN International Short Story Prize and on the advisory boards of the PEN/HEIM Translation Fund, Culturescapes, the African Book Festival.  

Edwige is among others, a Writing Fellow of the Iowa International Writing Program. In 2020, she founded 1949: the library of women’s writings from Africa and the black world focused on feminist and women-led decolonial practices in Abidjan.
