Samantha Lane Murphy is an Australian-born New Zealand-based writer, with a love for both literature, science fiction, and the spaces in which they meet. She has been published in Monsters in the Garden: An Anthology of Aotearoa New Zealand Science Fiction and Fantasy, and literary New Zealand anthology Middle Distance: Long Stories of Aotearoa New Zealand, along with such journals such as Headland and Turbine. She has recently graduated from the International Institute of Modern Letters of Victoria University of Wellington with a Masters of Arts degree in creative writing, and is pursuing her PhD in the same.
