Kavitha Muralidharan is a journalist from Tamil Nadu, a southern State in India, with two decades of experience covering a wide range of issues from politics to culture and cinema. She is also a translator and writer. Kavitha has a poetry collection and a collection of essays in Tamil to her credit. Kavitha has also translated an anonymous woman’s blog writings on Iraqi war into Tamil.

More recently, she had co-translated Perumal Murugan’s Amma into English which was published by Westland.
