Anna Sophia is an intermittent writer and a counsellor and has been the manager of a nonprofit community counselling service based in the Rangitikei region of Aotearoa, New Zealand for 23 years. She lives in Papaioea in a tiny cottage where she has raised two sons with a 21-year age gap between them.

After a significant break away from pen and paper, in July 2021 she wrote ‘Menopause, MHT and Me’ which was one of the spinoff’s top stories of the year. In March 2022, ‘At 42’ was published by the spinoff as their Sunday Essay.

She regularly contributes to Wilderness magazine to share her passion for hiking in the Manawatu district.
